There is no difference. Both refer to a process of applying a new coating over an existing surface.
No. Your bathtub was originally kiln fired at a very high temperature to create the porcelain. It is impossible to re-fire existing porcelain, therefore refinishing is the best alternative to outright replacement.
A refinished bathtub or tile wall can easily last 5 to 10 years with proper care & maintenance. In fact, many of our customers have told us their refinished surfaces still look and feel great after 15 years of regular use.
Porcelain Patch & Glaze uses the most technologically advanced coatings available. These finishes are designed to perform with daily use and will exceed ASTM industry standards. However, a refinished surface can be chipped or scratched if it is abused.
Definately not! In fact, most people will not be able to tell the difference between an original bathtub and one that Porcelain Patch & Glaze has refinished.
The average job takes 3 to 4 hours.
Please allow the finish to cure for 48 hours prior to using.

Absolutely. For a nominal fee, we can match almost anything.
Yes. Our coatings contain aromatic solvents, which are required for a hard and durable finish. Our technician will use a ventilation fan to exhaust most of the odor from the work site to the outdoors. The residual fresh paint odor will dissapate within a day.

If there is tile behind the toilet and vanity – you will need to have that removed prior to reglazing.
